... "without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14. But is the modern church doing this? How many are supporting this "War on Terror," "War on Iraq," and "War on Pakistan?" Most. One modern minister said recently on his tv show "We have to fight the Moslems." Why, I should like to know? The New Testament of the Bible is very anti-war. Jesus Christ said, "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." So are the warmongers called the children of the devil? Then John the Baptist told the soldiers of his day "Do violence to no man." Luke 3:14. So are you still going to continue as a warmonger?

The verse is actually "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord..."

It is holiness without which no-one will see the Lord, not peace.

Indeed it seems peace loving Christians are a minority on these forums. It's quite astonishing isn't it rw?

We have a sister thread going on here - http://www.christianforums.net/f15/should-christians-fight-wars-31531/index3.html#post464706

I'll keep posting in there on this issue.
