To be honest, I don't think you're missing much. Reviews of this movie are very polarized, either love or hate. I fall into the latter group. I think it's now my least favorite SW movie.
 
I'm seeing people complain about how Luke was handled, too. That worries me since he's always been my favorite character.:shock
 
I see. Well, my take on that is similar to the rest of the movie. On the drawing board, the basic concept probably seemed like the right one, but in actual execution (no pun intended) was a miss. This wasn't Hamill's fault, mind you, the whole movie just didn't click.
