Happy Birthday
Once again Christmas time is here
Yes it has been another year
Time to place presents under the tree
And watch as children are filled with glee
Yes it is time to be in a festive mood
Time to buy and cook a lot of food
Time to buy gifts big and small
Time to go shopping at the mall
Time to gather with loved ones and family
But I have to ask a question you see
Do we truly take time to remember why?
Do we even take time to just stop and say hi?
To Jesus our savior who is the true reason?
The reason for all this we call the season
Ok I’ll get to the point here.
Yes to just say hi to Jesus would be more than most do all year.
But I ask. When are we as children of God going to stand and take back what is ours?
Christmas along with a lot of our rights as children of God has and is more each year being taken away. And many seem not to notice or just say it’s just the changing times.
We need to take Christmas back as well as our other rights as children of God.
Such as our right to pray, worship and just be a child of God without the world getting mad and trying to shut us down.
But we must begin with ourselves then come together as a group to become one as a body of true believers.
Yes there are many groups (churches) but they are not strong because not everyone has taken time to truly give themselves to Jesus.
The world has taken our rights as children of God away and it’s been easy.
The reason it’s been so easy is because the churches can’t get along with one another and that has opened a big door for the enemy to come in and steal.
And sadly the disagreements are at times seen in just one church here or there.
Things like lack of communication or getting upset because something is off cue especially at a church Christmas program.
Then we have churches arguing over when was Jesus born and was Jesus really born of a virgin and yes there is more but what they are in disagreement about is God’s word.
We need to live by what the word of God states and stop fighting about what is and what is not true. Hey if it is God’s word then it’s true no question.
And what we need to do no matter how long we have been a child of God is to give Jesus ourselves as a birthday present. We need to simply say Jesus here I am Happy Birthday.
And as we do this and as we listen we will hear Jesus say.
“ This is what I’ve always wanted.â€
And as we give ourselves to Jesus and allow Him to use us as we were designed to be used then we can come together as a group of believers in agreement and stronger than ever in Jesus Name.

But why Christmas?
Simple, Christmas is when we take time to remember the birth of Jesus.
The birth of our savior a new beginning of promise and provision for all.
Now I want all to know that I am in know way trying to take away the thrill and excitement of Christmas. Oh no if anything I wish for all to enjoy Christmas in a whole new way a new birth.
And just a note here, God started ministering to me about this writing around the first of December 2009 and today is December 20,2009 so I prayed and listened and now here it is.
So we can say that God is telling us “Children go take it back.â€
And as I said this is not to put gloom and doom on anyone’s mind.
Yes it’s ok to buy gifts for a girl or boy.
And watch as they are filled with great joy
As they get the gifts they want and like
The toys, dolls, cars, balls and bikes
Yes take time with your family
And gather around the Christmas tree
All decorated all beautiful and bright
With tinsel, ornaments and lights
It’s ok to go shopping at the mall
Yes to buy gifts both big and small
And go ahead be in a festive mood
And eat yes eat a lot of food
This is all ok I want you to know
And go ahead stand under the mistletoe
Just think of Jesus born on that night
Think of His mother as she held Him tight
As she looked into His eyes and straight to His heart
She knew why He was born right from the start
He was born to love, heal and set us free
To be our savior is who He chose to be
From heaven to earth he came we know this is true
He did this for all yes even just for you
So please take time to stop and simply pray
