Hello, brothers and sisters in Christ
. I was looking around for a forum I could find some good discussions on and this one seemed to fit the bill. I have a strong interest in Christian Mysticism especially with the Protestant Theosophers like Jacob Boehme (as you could probably tell from name). Please note that I'm not talking about the new age Theosophical Society kind of theosophy.
My other areas of interest in the Christian Tradition:
1.Germanic/ Rhineland Mysticism - especially Meister Eckhart and the Theologia Germanica
2.Patristic and early Christian literature- my favs are Origen, Isaac the Syrian, Evagrius of Pontus, Clement of Alexandria, the Desert Fathers, and Dionysius the Areopagite.
3. Christian Hermeticisim
4. Christian Philosophy especially of the Platonic and Existentialist varieties (yeah a weird combo I know)
I also love studying world religions my favorites there would probably be Buddhism, Sufism, and esoteric Shi'ism.
