And come, they do!

Has anyone here been to an IKEA store? Maybe I should refer to it as IKEA International Destination Theme Park. It looks like you're pulling into the parking lot of Disney World. Flags all over the entrance, a HUGE building on a HUGE parking lot, where HUGE tour busses unload HUGE numbers of people speaking a wide range of languages.

I went there with my family yesterday for the first time, and I couldn't believe what I saw! :shocked! Most of it is lower-end merchandise for the home that you have to put together, but it's decent quality, and much, much cheaper than a typical store. We got a new dresser set and vanity desk for doing make up. It took me from the time I got home at 5:00 until 11:00 to put everything together, but it looks pretty good, and the girls are thrilled!

When you go to pick up the things you've selected, the parts come in box sets in the biggest such warehouse I've ever seen. It looks like the scene from the end of "Men in Black" in the locker room! You go to your bin by yourself and pick up what you're buying.

My system usually shuts down after I've been in a store for more than 10 minutes, but this place was fascinating. So many great things for the home at deep discount prices. :thumbsup

I LOVE Ikea! :thumbsup

The only problem is when you want something that's at the end of the 'designated route' through the store. :wall

Ikea never do "Out" very well...in the UK you feel lost most of the time...being a maze specialist or a military map reader with a compass would help

My youth group I was in a few years ago went on a trip and we had lunch there. We payed as a group and spent so much they gave us a gift card, ended up buying a much needed shelf-table thing for our youth room.

They have so much stuff, there food is also pretty good.
