I'm a supergenius, although I doubt I'll be welcomed here, because I'm also an atheist. I don't really know the forum rules well enough to know if I'll be banned very quickly. I have a tendency to be a bit abrasive at times.

Also, I'd like to ask why christians aren't allowed in the advice forum. Is it because the moderators want to protect the idea that the only good advice is "FILL YOURSELF WITH GOD'S LOVE!" instead of something practical? Just curious. It seems very stupid to believe that only christians can give good advice, and very discriminatory.

So where can I find the rules here?

Rule 1 - Post content and general conduct:
No foul language, pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or similarly related material or language including toilet humor. Including words purposely misspelled or alternate use of characters to indicate such statements. You will not create a username that violates this rule. Cussing will not be tolerated. Use a thesaurus if you can't express yourself without swearing.

Rule 2 - No Flaming:
You will not post any messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or guest. This will include misquoting another member out of context. You may discuss another member's beliefs but there will be no personal attacks on the member himself or herself.
*Amended to include* .... Any person(s) who comes to these forums to attack Christianity or Christians personally will be banned based on the discretion of the Admins & Mods.

Rule 3 - Personel conflicts:
If you have personal problems with another member, then deal with it through private messages. Give other members the respect you would want them to give yourself. If the problem cannot be handled through private messages, then Report problems to Mods or Admins ASAP.

Matt. 18: 15. "Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
16. "But if he will not hear you, take with you one or two more, that `by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.'

Rule 4 - No posting of private messages:
Respect the privacy of others. Do not post or otherwise distribute private emails or private messages from other users without first obtaining their consent.

Rule 5 - Respect Site authority:
The word of a moderator or administrator is final and private to the people involved. Do not challenge a moderator or administrator's authority or post publicly objecting to a moderator's act. If you feel that a moderator's actions are completely unacceptable, send the administrator a private message. Of course, the administrator's decision is final.

Rule 6 - No Trolling:
You will not post anything that disrupts the peace and harmony of this forum. Don't make inflammatory remarks just to get a response. This will also include posts that put down Christianity in general or any posts considered as blasphemy by staff (this is a CHRISTIAN FORUMS site).
You won't be labeled as a troll if your post has substance.

Rule 7 - No "Offensive" or "Illegal" Posts, Links or Images:
You will not post or PM any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, blasphemous, satanic or otherwise violate any local or international laws.

Rule 8 - No Promotion of Other Religions:
You will not post any messages; links, images or photos that promote a religion or belief other than mainstream Christianity (atheism is considered a "belief" for the purposes of this rule). Debates of these doctrines are fine, as long as the beliefs are not actively promoted. This is a Christian Forums as the name suggest. If you cannot abide with this, please do not use our site.

John 14: 6. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Rule 9 - No Public Posts about Specific Moderator Actions:
You will not post questions or comments about the specific actions of a moderator in a public forum (e.g. editing a post, deleting a thread, banning a member), as this remains a private matter between the member and the staff involved. However, members may PM or email a moderator at anytime. General questions about staff and feedback about moderators are allowed, just not specific questions about a particular moderator action.

Rule 10 - Affirmative action:
If a rule is broken, proper warning will be given to the user based on the level of infraction of the rule. It may result in banning of user or loss of some options. IP Addresses are available to Mods and Admins and will be used to prosecute violator(s). Again, warnings will be provided, but we will ban your IP or domain if deemed necessary.

Rule 11 - Respect copyrighted material:
When you copy/paste material please supply a link(s) to your source(s). It is a good idea to do that for two reasons.

A- it gives everyone the chance to check you sources...

B- it gives the credit to the originator of the information and avoids copyright infringement problems.

Rule 12 - Thread Topic:
Stay on topic in a thread, as much as possible. We are aware that threads go on bunny trails, and this is okay sometimes, but try to keep threads on topic as much as possible.

Rule 13 - Posting Etiquette:
Please keep the posts down to a respectable length. You stand a better chance of getting your point across. People may not want to read them if they are too long. No using all CAPTIAL LETTERS in your responses. That is considered an aggressive action.

Rule 14: No solicitation:
DO NOT POST ADVERTISING FOR WEBSITES OR OTHER FORUMS in your signature. This is considered solicitation. We have a forum especially set up for advertising your websites and links to other forums. "Website and Business Plugs"
Please post in there.

Rule 15: No promoting any sinful behavior (Homosexual behavior, Lying, stealing, murder....etc.) Galatians 5:19-21
This is a Christian forum, and we go by what the bible says. The Bible clearly states sexual relations between people of the same gender are an abomination unto God.
Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:26-27and Jude 1:7-8
If you have a problem with that you need to take it up with God.
While on this site show respect for God and our savior Jesus Christ.

Rule 16: No debating Universal Reconciliation
Due to the disruption caused by the topic Universal Reconciliation, it will no longer be debated or discussed on this board.

We reserve the right to amend any of the above rules without notice. Be advised: It is the members responsibility to check in this forum for any amendments to the rules.

Official Warning -> Suspension -> Banning Protocol

This is the official Christian Forums staff protocol to the warning, suspension (or temporary banning) and banning of members. These rules apply to all members, Christian and non-Christian, and includes staff themselves.

The Protocol:

Any staff member can give out official warnings. The staff member can give warnings by either PM or in the public forum, the situation will determine which . Then make a post in the Staff Forums so that other staff can discuss the decision. Logan can overturn a warning.

First and Second post offense = warning
Third offense = 1 week suspension
Forth offense... You're banned for an indefinite period of time but will be for reviewed quarterly and on an individual basis. Membership could be reinstated at that time.

First and Second PM offense= warning
Third offense= Loss of PM privilege for 1 week
Forth offense= Loss of PM privilege. But will be for reviewed on an individual basis, which could result in your PM privileges being reinstated.

Obvious trolling (if posting abuse or offensive images, offensive username/ avatar/ email address), immediate permanent emergency ban is mandated. Any staff member can recommend this.

Members who feel that they have been unfairly given a warning may appeal the warning by contacting an Administrator.

It is hoped that the above protocol will ensure that members are treated fairly and given the best chance to remain as members before any action is required. Thank you for your cooperation.

Welcome and peace be with you in all you do and say. :)

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.
