Noah and Lot Depict Mankind's Final Days – A Sermon For Lent

Jesus Christ said that the last day's of mankind will be like the days of Noah and like the days of Lot. Consider that the story of Noah's Ark and the story of Lot are symbolic of man's corrupt nature becoming so destructive that it will undermine all humanity. The story of Lot, and Sodom and Gomorrah, is indicative of a pervasive practice and support for homosexuality while the story of Noah's Ark is indicative of the destructive practice of abortion.

First we consider the story of Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah which is indicative of mankind's descent into homosexuality. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah highlights the fact that not only are the participants of homosexuality judged but also those who offer any sympathetic support for homosexuality are also judged. The fact that Lot's wife was turned into a 'pillar of salt', for looking back when she was warned not to, represents the reality that any person who offers sympathy towards homosexuality is no longer deemed a human (hint: pillar of salt) and is no longer eligible to be included in any rapture or resurrection event that is foretold in the bible.

With the story of Noah and the Great Flood it depicts the horrible practice of abortion. Consider that the Ark is symbolic of a human egg in a woman's womb where it contains the life essence of all of our existence (hint: DNA material). Then all of sudden an unexpected flood begins which is symbolic of a menstruation flow. This menstruation flood is due to an abortion pill, a birth control pill, or an abortion procedure, which flushes everything out of the womb including the Ark which is the symbol of a developing embryo.

The story of Noah's ark is then a story of God judging all those who support and practice the practice of abortion as all those involved are judged by a symbolic flow of blood – the blood shed by Jesus Christ on the cross - for it both saves and judges.

Noah's flood is also indicative of mankind's final judgment as mankind is either saved by the blood of Christ or is damned by it (hint: mankind's original sin). It must be remembered that the one thief being crucified next to Christ on the cross was saved while the other was damned. Speak up now to be saved or scoff at the cross with disapprobation for an eternity in hell.

It is interesting that the animals that are included in the Ark are symbolic of Jesus Christ - for Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who is sacrificed for all of our sins on the cross. There is an Ark at the beginning of Jesus Christ's life on this earth as Jesus Christ was born in the Ark (hint: a manager) and an Ark at the end of Jesus Christ's life on earth as Jesus Christ was crucified on the Ark (hint: the cross). Truly, believers of Jesus Christ are crucified with Jesus Christ on the cross as we are all safely in his Ark of Salvation.

Another point worth mentioning is that when Noah sends out the dove from the Ark (hint: the Ark as an embryo of our salvation) it returns with an olive branch. This is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and the immaculate conception of Mary who's child will be God's own son Jesus Christ, the messiah.

Additionally, the Ark of the Covenant in the temple is liken to the embryo of a sinless Jesus Christ in Mary's womb which ultimately brings forth the messiah, God's son Jesus Christ - God become man, to save mankind from all of their sins by dying on the cross!

So it is clear that when Jesus Christ stated that the end times will be like Noah's days and Lot's days Jesus was telling us that both abortion and homosexuality will be widely supported and practiced and this will cause God to intervene and begin mankind's final days which are depicted in the Book of Revelation (hint: Read the Book of Revelation and you'll receive a promised blessing).

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and rest assured that you'll be included in the rapture which is an event where Jesus Christ will return just before mankind's final judgment to take all of his believers up to heaven to live a life of eternity with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit!

God Bless
