But I just have a couple of announcements to make and I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong thread. Anyway, my first announcement is that I'm talking with my pastor and we're scheduling a time when I can get baptized. The second thing is that I really want to make this public. I have something that is unfortunately classified as mental retardation so a lot of the things that you understand about the Bible, I don't. So please don't take it personally if you're quoting the Bible to me and it sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher to me in my head. That's why I was given a message Bible for Christmas because it's easier for me to understand small, simpler words. Again, I apologize if this is in the wrong thread but I wasn't sure. Thank you!

I am so happy for you. :biggrin Our disabilities will never keep us from the love of Christ and you have Christ in your heart and that is all that matters as no one can take you out of His hands. None of us know everything and no one in Christ is any greater than another. Just know you are loved :hug

Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses. Every Christian had a different role to play in the Body of Christ. Probably in your case finding strong Christians who are very good at explaining difficult things in the bible could help you a lot. Does your church have bible studies for new/ newish Christians?

Even though I had been a Christian for years, I remember when I was baptised - as I was brought up out of the water I felt cleaned in a way, on the inside. I knew in my head that I was saved because I believed in Jesus, but I think God used that in a special way for me personally.
