Who watched this? I thought it was stunning and thunderous, especially the beginning segment with the drums!!

That was an amazing scene with the rings coming together over the stadium!
Then it got away with itself, IMO. I don't get this fascination with Mr. Bean or whatever he's called. I don't think he's funny, and I think they spent too much time on him. All the 60's, 70's, 80's... music took away from the majesty of the first part. It almost seemed like a contrived Super Bowl half-time show. :gah
The lighting of the flame was kind lame, IMHO. And is the queen permitted to crack a smile... ever? Hello! Your United Kingdom is hosting a world event!
But I could watch the first 45 minutes a few times again. They nailed it with that!
