What do you mean by "That way he can be exposed here"? That implies that he is some sort of fraudster or fake or false teacher, yet the link gives the opposite impression. And it completely fails to address the information given in the OP.It's good there is a posting about Dr.Brown.
That way he can be exposed here.
Who is Dr.Brown Anyway?
There have been many works written by Christians to convince Jews to leave Judaism and adopt their false beliefs. Some of them have been better written and some worse. In our period of time, the fact is that there is no better example of this genre then the works of Dr. Brown. He has a number of qualities that makes him and his works attractive.
First there is Dr Brown himself. His biography and what he has accomplished. Dr. Brown has posted a short testimony telling what his life was like before he became a Christian. One important fact is that rather then going to a Bible college to pursue his Christian beliefs; he went to a legitimate University and received a degree. This gives him ‘credentials’ which one does not find for the other well known Jewish Christian missionaries. He has legitimate qualifications to be called a ‘scholar’. Those who have met him personally (as I have) agree he is a very likeable person in person, which adds to his effectiveness. He speaks well and is articulate. While he can state his views in strong and somewhat abusive forms, he can also ‘turn on the charm’ in other venues.

Michael Brown is a Messianic Jew. His attempt to revoke paleo Hebrew is obscene. What do you mean by "That way he can be exposed here"? That implies that he is some sort of fraudster or fake or false teacher, yet the link gives the opposite impression. And it completely fails to address the information given in the OP.
I'm not seeing how this relates to the OP as there is no commentary and there probably should be.
Psalm 110 Orthodox Jewish Bible Version Below
Tehillim 110 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)
110 (Of Dovid. Mizmor). Hashem said unto Adoni [i.e., Moshiach Adoneinu; Malachi 3:1], Sit thou at My right hand, until I make thine enemies a footstool for thy feet.
2 (3) Hashem shall stretch forth the rod of thy might out of Tziyon; rule thou in the midst of thine [Moshiach’s] enemies [i.e., anti-Moshiachs].
3 (4) Thy [Moshiach’s Messianic] people, willing in the Day of thy [Moshiach’s called up] Army, will be arrayed in the splendor of kodesh (holiness); from the womb of the dawn, cometh to thee [Moshiach] thy young men [cf Isa 53:10] as the tal (dew) [Rv 19:14].
4 (5) Hashem hath sworn, and will not relent, Thou [Moshiach] art a kohen l’olam al divrati Malki-Tzedek (kohen forever in respect to the order of Malki-Tzedek; [see Bereshis 14:18; note it is the kohen who makes kapporah for sin—see Leviticus 4:20; Isa 53:8).
5 (6) Adonoi at thy right hand shall dash melachim (kings) in pieces in the Yom Afo (Day of His Wrath).
6 (7) He [Adonoi acting through Moshiach] shall judge among the Goyim, He shall heap up geviyyot (corpses); He shall dash in pieces Rosh (Head; Gn 3:15] al Eretz Rabbah (over Great, Whole Earth, cf 2Th 2:8).
7 Of the brook in the Derech shall he [Moshiach] drink; therefore shall he lift up [as victor] the Rosh [Moshiach’s head; PP 2:8-10; Ep 4:15].
And this has relevance how? He also has his PhD in Near Eastern languages.Michael Brown is a Messianic Jew.
Did you watch the video, in its entirety? His attempt to revoke paleo Hebrew is obscene.
I would think the video is commentary. Though that could be my misinterpretation of the member intent.I'm not seeing how this relates to the OP as there is no commentary and there probably should be.
All in the Name of God.I was pondering what chabad would have to say but was going to get StoveBolts involved.
Cleared up the use by chabad. For those completely lost to understanding what is being discharged...
The Hebrew language is a metaphoric language. (Phrases/idioms of speech are used to describe things. Just like "I have a frog in my throat" is used to describe hoarseness in speech)
The Hebrew language also contains no bad words. Words like homosexual are stated by euphemism. Homosexual is said as "dog" .
Hebrew was one of the first written languages...(Phonetian, Sumerian, and Egyptian being earlier...but those languages are dead)
Being an early written language means that their language was partially pictographic, part phonetic and did double duty as numerals.
An Aleph is the first letter having the numeral value of one but had no phonetic sound...it's inclusion in a word would drastically change it's meaning. Consequently it also was a pictograph of an altar...and all numbered lists started at 2.
You may appreciate this site.I just came across this video today and remembered that I have seen users here arguing to the "Paleo Hebrew" translation of things in the OT. Please stop with it. It is nonsense. Here's why:
One learns Hebrew by the tanach.my dad used to know it.my aunt does.my grandpa taught in the temple.man if he was alive. .Aside from chabad, this site has some great resources on ancient Hebrew. I believe cyberjosh may have contributed here or there, but I may be mistaken. His take on the yud, hey and vav is probably what folks would be interested in.
