since this is an anonymous environment, I am going to be as brave as I can be about this.

I have a serious porn addiction for a long time, one that is destroying my life for a long time

I also know it is part of a more serious problem, because porn in some ways is like an escape for me from the reality, escape from who I really am and my problems in life as well as rejection from others etc

I have made decision I am going to stop today, I cant let it destroy my life anymore, otherwise I will end up in a very scary place and I have asked Lord for help

I would also appreciate your prayers.

Dear Father, I come to You by invitation to Your throne of grace asking for Your grace and help of this dear brother in his time of need. You lift us up as the good Samaritan from this this and all sin and lead us in Your paths of righteousness. Please give this brother strength to overcome temptation that wants to keep him in a state of self-condemnation, and bring peace to his soul that allows him a conscience free to approach You at all times. Thank You Father for giving him the need to seek You, and I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

I know your problem. I've been dealing with this. Let God
work in you. You cant do it yourself. Let the Holy Spirit clean you. It's a process. When you let God work in your life, it becomes easier. You begin to hate the act more and more. It will become more like forgetting that shooting yourself in the hand hurts when go back. What I mean is you'll see why it's wrong more and more, and you'll dislike it more and more, and realize it brings more pain than pleasure more and more. I confessed to my pastor recently my waning problem, and asked for prayers. Maybe it would be good for you to confess privately to a trustworthy Christian friend or pastor. You don't have to though. Just keep repenting to God and praying. Christ sets us free.
