There were not enough choices in ur poll. I would say that most rock especially today's rock is inspired of satan. A lot and especially early rock like 50s, 60s and less from then is not of satan. If u r in tune with God, He will let u know what is acceptable.
I wasn't sure if "rock work" referred to rock music, rock carving, or something else. But on the subject of music, any type of music can be used by Satan. It can also be used by God. You are not going to get many teens to a gospel music concert, so if God has called you to witness to young people, you need to be open to what God tells you to play. This is true for anything that a musician pursues, worship included.
Music is also used as entertainment and this is where I believe the church has really dropped the ball. If we don't provide quality entertainment (music, movies, books, etc.) then Satan will and has. If rock music (or any other type of music) is of the devil, it's because we let it happen.
I heard a speaker tell this story of a missionary who's kids where playing Christian rock music. A former witch-doctor-turned-Christian protested to the missionary that the beat of the music was the same as he used to use to call forth evil spirits. The speaker used this as an argument against Christian rock music.
But didn't Jesus give us authority over evil spirits? Personally, I say, "let them come, I've got something I want to tell them!"
Bottom line is to do what God has called you to. Never look to man's approval, but do not despise wise counsel either.
