Aye.
I remember when I quit my addiction last year and found myself on the pile of rubble that once was my life, that was the time when I started to listen to metal music. Slayer was among the bands that I enjoyed the most. Thanks to them I felt that life is actually fun and worth living. So Slayer have a very personal meaning to me.
I've been listening to Slayer the whole day after hearing those devastating news this morning.
This is a sad day for the music world.
His family, bandmates and friends will be in my prayers.
Prayers for his wife, family & friends. His guitar may have been silenced here on this 3rd rock from the sun ... but he has left quite the legacy in his music & legends.
To think his death is due to liver failure while recovering from a skin-eating condition he contracted after being bitten by a spider. Scary thoughts indeed.
Rest in peace, Jeff Hannemann. I have seen Slayer once and I wanted to see Jeff aswell, but he had got sick by the spider and Gary Holt replaced him.
You attacked Christianity with your music but God is full of mercy, I really hope and pray that you, Jeff, would have seen the light just before you passed out. I'm praying for Jeff's family & friends to get strength and I will pray that your death would have opened your band members eyes, and they would see the light before they will die
I read that he was very depressed before he died, he drank vodka for breakfast and dinner. Probably alcohol was a big part in his liver failure unno.
