LAW OF CHRIST

Luke 6:37-38
37 "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
38 "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
Gal 6:2
2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Luke 11:46-48
46 And He said, "Woe to you also, lawyers! For you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 "Woe to you! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 "In fact, you bear witness that you approve the deeds of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs.
James 5:9
9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!
1 Cor 6:7-8
7 Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated?
8 No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren!
1 Cor 6:6
6 But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!
1 Cor 6:9-10
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Rom 7:4-5
4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another-- to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
Rom 7:8
8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead.
Rom 7:10-11
10 And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.
1 Pet 2:19-21
19 For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.
21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
1 Cor 15:24
24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
1 Cor 15:26
26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
Col 3:15
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
John 14:26-27
26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Matt 5:38-48
38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'
39 "But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
40 "If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.
41 "And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
42 "Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
45 "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
47 "And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
48 "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
Rom 8:3
3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,
Rom 8:1-2
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Matt 6:14-15
14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 "But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matt 7:2
2 "For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
Gal 5:1
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
James 1:25
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
Matt 10:16-19
16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
17 "But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues.
18 "You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
19 "But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;

xxx Mans law was based on the old testament law of sin and death, or sin and punishment. Mans law is based on fareness, but it is mans fareness not Gods. Jesus came down to show us what true justice is, not according to the old testament, and not according to mans justice. Jesus brought us the true justice from God. If you use the laws of man on others God will use His laws on you. If you forgive others, God will also have to forgive you. Every decision you make, you make it according to principles. Old testament principles, mans principles, or New Testament principles. They are different. And some of you make some decisions on what ever principle benefits you. The law of Christ is the same amount that you use in your life, is the same amount that God is going to use on you at judgment day. So everything you do, you are setting up your own judgment for judgment day. So remember if all your judgments benefit you now, then all of Gods judgments will benefit Him on judgment day. If all your judgments benefit others now, then all of Gods judgments will benefit you on judgment day.
And the new testament is a law, the law of Christ.

John 15:14
14 "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

Hi there!

And all this time, I thought that Jesus was born a Jew and lived by the law established at Mt. Sinai and which was given to us in the first five books of the Old Testament.

~thanks for changing that biblical teaching into a lie~

Look all I'm doing is sharing what the Holy Spirit told me. And proving it by sharing how He told me. Unlike others who only share their own opinions about the Holy Spirit.

Rom 12:16
16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

Really? Then explain these verses:

Matthew 5:17-20 (KJV)
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

And the new testament is a law, the law of Christ.

I think this way of thinking about things is inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Keep doing good for His Name sake.

Sight, this kind of Word contradicted revelation is not a revelation of the Holy Spirit but rather a revelation of worldly desire.

Remember Christ came not to abolish the laws, but to fulfill them. This said, a new testament believer has two laws to follow and this will allow them to keep all ten of the original commandments. Love the Lord with all you are and Love your neighbor as yourself.

Christ fulfilled the old testament law, and taught me how to fulfill it.
ABOUT THE NEW TESTAMENT
Luke 16:16
16 "The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.
Matt 11:12-13
12 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
13 "For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
John 10:8-9
8 "All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
Heb 8:13
13 In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
II Jn 1:9-11
9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;
11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.
Rom 15:4
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
Heb 8:13
13 In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
Heb 8:7
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.
Heb 7:12
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.
Mark 16:15-16
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Matt 10:16-19
16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
17 "But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues.

19 "But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;
2 Cor 3:4-6
4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God.
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,
6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
(NKJ)
xxxThis is a revelation about the new testament that I received from the Holy Spirit. Now to walk after the Holy Spirit is to live by the verses He gives me at the time He gives them to me. And as you can see this is a revelation where Jesus enters also. Jesus said where two or three are put together I am in the midst of them. So a revelation where many verses are given we know that Jesus is giving them to us through the Holy Spirit. And we call this a revelation of Jesus Christ.

1 Cor 15:1-3
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
(KJV)

Luke 9:62
62 But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

Jesus is the Law

Hello,
Just what does it mean to fulfill???

Jesus stated in Matthew 5:17 ". . .I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill..." then He goes on through the rest of the chapter telling the people what it means to fulfill, or fill up the law. In verses 21, 27, 31, 33, 38, and 43 He stated: "ye have heard that it was said. . ." or something of that nature, so the old law that everyone is having such a time about is made more effective, and strict in these verses, because after each time He states that it was said He also states "but I say unto you" meaning He magnified these certain principles found in the law. To fulfill the law means to magnify it, and make it honorable not take away one jot or tittle from it, only in Christ can we keep the law and obey Him, and that is a requirement for the Christian walk.

As we look a little further into the sermon on the mount in chapter 7 we read where Jesus tells the people that not everyone that says to Him Lord Lord will enter the kingdom, He was talking to people who were trying to be Christians, but they were following their own way of self righteousness. If He was talking to the people of the world why would He have told them that they have cast out demons in His name? Would the world cast out demons in the name of Jesus? I doubt it. Anyway, in verse 23 why does Jesus tell tese people to depart from Him?What kind of people are these? These are those who commit iniquity (SIN).

The professors of Chritianity are telling the world that we do not have to obey the TEN commandments, or they have been "nailed to the cross", it's impossible to obey all the TEN commandments, or some kind of excuse, but if we read and understand God's holy word we will know what the law is for and why God gave it to us, in fact He even wrote it with His own finger in stone to show how immutable it is. The law was given to us to reveal sin in our lives, and as another popular teaching goes: we will never stop sinning, or there is none righteous, etc. Where does that come from?

Here is the big question: Why does Jesus tell those who were doing many mighty works in His name to depart from Him??? This principle is most important in our Christian walk. If we work iniquity (SIN) we are told to depart from Him!

One more question: How many times does Jesus tell people "Go and sin no more"? Is He telling them something that is impossible to do.

Next we will define sin.

I think that Jesus fulfilled the Moasic Law and He is the new Law:

1 Corinthians 9:20-27
To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
The Apostle Paul clearly stated that he is not under "THE" law, but is still under God's Law, which he then defines as the Law of Christ.

I believe the Law of Christ to be the teachings that Christ gave to us.

Revalation on the law of Christ

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Does this mean its wrong to do away with any of the ten comandments?

Jesus says till heaven and earth pass> Does this mean that all laws are to be followed till heaven and earth pass away?

I was once told by a minister that you only needed 2 of the comandments. And that those two fulfilled the whole 10 comandments.

God bless and keep you.

you said
Just what does it mean to fulfill???

I said
Fulfilled means to bring to an end. But incase you dont believe me here is the definition in strongs dictionary.
