Someone has been sending me rude and confrontational emails. The only thing I said to them is that I thought it would be wise to discontinue the conversation straight away. Have I done right? If I remained I the conversation, I would end up being aggressive myself. I am only human!

Just to clarify - it was no one from this forum who was sending me rude emails. This was someone else entirely. Sorry if I was not clear on this.

My question is, did I do right by what I said?

I don't see what the big deal is. Being a Christian and turning the other cheek doesn't mean you don't enforce boundaries. I think you did OK, but at the end of the day its between you and God.

I think I chose the best path I could in the circumstances. My natural, flesh-based reaction was to give her back exactly the same thing!

Yes - in my experience Christians rarely do! I lack their objectivity, their certainty and their single-mindedness.

Ignore them. Set up your email account so that their emails go straight into the trash.
