God once again spared my life. I don't know why, but since He knows so much more than we, I trust that it may have some purpose.
Two days ago I was standing on a coast rock, high above the turbulent ocean.
The waves below crashed inexorably unto the steep coast. The power of that water turmoil would not leave a person alive, once captured in it.
For me it was tempting to jump. That day more than ever. The time seemed perfect, I had nothing left to lose. There was no one near to me. And I stepped forward, ready for my last step.
Looking once more to the sky, closing my eyes, and shifting my weight forward to the steep slope, I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder, a firm grip that held me back. As I turned around, there was a man standing behind me, a total stranger.
He looked at me, saying nothing. I didn't speak neither. For quite a while we remained in that position. Then I quietly left the scene.
I was not able to say thank you to that stranger. I still don't know why and how he got there without my attention. And I still don't know how he knew what I had in mind. But his eyes told me that he knew.
I believe that Jesus sent him. I believe that there must be some purpose for God to not let me go. I believe that God spared my life once again.
And despite my guilt, I have a feeling that He still loves me.
The message for the person who might read this testimony is very simple:
God loves you !
