Disgraceful, and probably 'entitlement' types if they drove up in such a car (i.e. "I deserve everything, you don't" types). In this age of technology, you have to be an abysmal fool to steal anything these days because you don't know if you are photographed and your picture placed all over the Internet, as it was here making them look like a fool.
On a lighter side, I once had an idea for a decoration vandalism/theft alarm. If someone shot out lights or stole your decorations, it would result in a change of electrical impedance in the system. If this was plugged into a box that measured this change, then a loud siren would go off and make them red-faced, not to mention catching them in the act. I was only interested in making money, but although it was an interesting idea, I never thought it would fly so-to-speak. Even back then, electronic components were getting advanced and I did not have the means to make something streamlined... it would have been too bulky and clumsy. But in these parts, you read about decoration theft and vandalism all the time. As a matter of fact, it just happened to a neighbor up the road last week.
