Add up the ages presented in the linages. You get an answer of somewhere around 6,000

They don't even involve all the same people. So the idea that they are literal genealogies goes out the window.

Food for thought they were cousins,David didn't just have Solomon, and the last wasn't the only line from the King.Jesus had to be connected to The throne of David.He was via Mary.if he wasn't surely the pharisees would have called him out on calling himself the son of David.
