The two witnesses continue their testimony for 1,260 days, upon which the beast, as in Saul's case;
1. arises from the earth as Samuel's supposed spirit arose from the earth.
2. wages war on the saints and kill them as Saul killed almost all of the priesthood.
3. their bodies are refused burial and are publicly displayed, just as Saul's body was stripped and displayed on a city wall.
A literal statement is then made of the city as being where the Lord was crucified.
There are descriptions within Josephus where the sending of expensive gifts were sent between monarchs on joyful occasions, this is one such occasion where there is an apparent end to judgment which is shown to be brief.
The seventh trumpet.
There are no less than three different verses within Revelations where the seventh trumpet is described as being the end of judgment.
A vision is then described of a woman that is closely identified with Joseph's dream.
A scarlet dragon with seven heads and ten horns is described.
The one detail that stands out is that the third part of heavenly stars are dragged down with him unto the earth.
This comes straight from the old testament where Koreh is punished along with his followers.
The woman is then protected in the desert for 1,260 days.
The wings of an eagle comes from the old testament where Moses describes the exodus as being carried aloft as by the wings of an eagle.
The flooding described can be clearly seen in the topography of both the Sinai and Palestine.
There are numerous low-lying areas, both large and small hills, both of which are conducive to being suprised and swept away by a flash flood.
