Three angels make their appearance, each with a different announcement.
The first angel states that the time of God's judgment has come.
The second angel announces the coming fall of Babylon.
The third angel refers to those that worship the beast and his image, receive the mark on his hand or forehead.

The time has now come for the wheat harvest.
A joyful occasion for those that had survived the winter. The firstfruits come first, then after many weeks, the rest has been reaped, threshed, winnowed and stored. In this case its the figure of one as a son of man who actually reaps.

The next harvest is anything but joyful, the dark, blood-like stains are associated with judgment.
The first mention of grapes would be that of Isaiah where he refers to wild grapes.
The harvest would then be cast into the winepress and trampled.
Trampling itself is a reference to judgment.
A small conduit guides the juice to where its stored.
The reference to being trampled outside of the city.
New Archeological digs have revealed the presence of such winepresses located on the same grounds where the grapes grow.
The result to the trampling is the flow to the length of some 1,600 stadia, to the depth of a horses bridle.

Within the seventh trumpet, there are now seven angels that had the seven plagues/cups of wrath through which the wrath of God became consumated.
Each plaque would continue to add to the ultimate scenario.
The two significant events would be the last two plagues.
The reason for this is that the angels had already been set loose some time back.
This is where the armies are mobilized and assembled at Armageddon.
You will notice that the bible only refers to the assembly of armies at Armageddom.
The final plague will bring forth the memory of great Babylon.

There are now two women, two cities.
The importance is seen where there are details that establish the two cities as being different.
The great city where the Lord was crucified is also described as being taken by an army.
The other woman represents a city that is suddenly destroyed without the presence of an army.

The fall of Babylon is then lamented by those same merchants marked by the beast. They lament the loss of their access to the varied goods of such a huge multiregional empire. They also lament the event as that which causes the collapse of the entire international system of trade.

The end of Revelations.
The most problematic part of Revelations is that of creating a viable chronology.
This would center on the invasion by Gog and Magog.
While the established scenario within Joel, Isaiah, Zechariah and Ezekiel allows for most of the events happening before the millenium, the one mention within Revelations places Gog and Magog after the millenium.

The day of the Lord.
As its established by details shared by the prophets mentioned;
1. darkness.
2. the nations attack after ascending from armageddon , some 64 miles away.
3. jerusalem is sacked.
4. the Lord counterattacks, the armies die upon the mountains of Israel.
5. the figure of a man descends upon the mount of olives. ascending
6. the mount splits and water flows toward the sea, the leaves of which would later be used for the healing of the nations.
7. the bodies of the invaders are marked for burial, they are then buried on the valley leading westward toward the sea.

When you have two different situations described within scripture, there is the likelyhood of there being more than one fulfillment.
If the details provided in the old testament confirm a pre-millenial invasion by Gog and the nations, you can adopt this scenario with some certainty.
The next item to be looked at is the mentions Gog after the millenium.
The conclusion is that of two separate fulfillments, Gog and Magog will attack both before and after the millenium, the second attack resulting in fire falling from the skies as they approached the city and encampment of God.
