Visiting churches in Europe is breathtaking in person but hard to take good pictures because the light is poor. Any suggestions on how to take good video or pictures in low light conditions?

Put your camera down in a spot where it can't move or shake (do you have a tripod?) and chose a longer exposure time.

Usually, tripods are discouraged in the large churches. If your camera is adjustable, set a higher ISO rating (as high as you can go without noise becoming too great), and open the aperture as wide as it will go.

A "bean bag" supporting the camera on the back of a pew will often be sufficient for slow shutter speeds.
