A Roman Catholic has claimed: "We seek the good in all faiths and praise it as Paul directs us to do."

Really?

Of course this is not true at all. The history of the RCC is littered with abuse and murders from their "seeking" of the good in other faiths. Why would the pope have to apologize for the centuries (yes, a full millennium - 1,000 years) of abuse if (as claimed), the RCC were "seeking the good in other faiths"?

John Paul II said:
"Let us forgive and ask forgiveness! While we praise God who, in his merciful love, has produced in the Church a wonderful harvest of holiness, missionary zeal, total dedication to Christ and neighbour, we cannot fail to recognize the infidelities to the Gospel committed by some of our brethren, especially during the second millennium. Let us ask pardon for the divisions which have occurred among Christians, for the violence some have used in the service of the truth and for the distrustful and hostile attitudes sometimes taken towards the followers of other religions."

And of course, he does not appeal to Jesus for forgiveness nor does he appeal to the Holy Spirit for help... who does he appeal to? You guessed right... MARY!

John Paul II said:
Mary, Mother of forgiveness, help us to accept the grace of forgiveness which the Jubilee generously offers us.

Jesus said He would send His Counselor, His Helper.... to guide us to the truth. (Read John 16:5-15) I find it fascinating that the RCC and John Paul II turn to Mary as their helper rather than the Holy Spirit. Was Jesus not right?
