Maybe this belongs in another section, but too bad im putting it here. So I was talking with a friend today and she told me she loves her boyfriend of 4-5 months now. I kind of thought maybe thats a little early to be saying the L word. Because unlike most of the the world I take love in a relationship seriously, I dont just toss it around because I really like someone. And I told her saying you love someone is a serious matter. When I try to explain what true love is, i kind of fumble. So I want to ask some fellow Christians, what is true love in a relationship/marriage?

1 John 4:16-18 God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Love will go to the cross for eachother.
