Christian Minister Calls Wicca "A Demonic Cult of Rebellion"

Christian minister Tom McMahon, president and executive director of The Berean Call, a ministry that encourages spiritual discernment among Christians, says Wicca is a demonic cult of rebellion.

AgapePress reports that McMahon, co-author of The Seduction of Christianity, says Wicca is a pantheistic cult dedicated to the achievement of spiritual power through nature worship, spells, and rituals. According to the ministry leader, Wicca is one of many such cults around the world -- and they all have a common source. "They have a common denominator, they have a common idea -- even their rituals are the same. Yet these people have never been connected to one another," he comments.

"There must be an intelligent source that promotes this throughout the world; and the scriptures call him the adversary, the god of this world. It's really Satan." McMahon says many teenagers -- and even professing Christians -- are drawn to Wicca because it offers power and has a rebellious aspect.

If you take the time to read ExWitch, you might learn a thing or two about me that'll surprise you.

Let's start with - no "black queen" (or white or green queen" ) of anything. That's utter rubbish anyways, hon.

I will have to say that if New Life Publishing wrote something about me/EW, I don't recall it ... BUT we've had quite a few articles over the years.

BUT I'm pretty sure I'd remember it... and so I'm going to hazard a guess here, at 630am, and say this was one I didn't know about (there's quite a few). Which means that I had zero input, and they wrote anything they thought they knew about witches (and to be honest, what I've seen out of the UK church as a whole - not the AOG in general, but as a whole - has been... interesting ... on the subject. But given the UK's history, well... )

Anyways - just because I'm AoG and they are too doesn't mean anything. We're an awfully BIG fellowship. Well-meaning folks, I'm sure.

To clarify, ExWitch is NOT a AoG-sponsored ministry in any way; we're wholly independent of any denominational affiliation.

And I do think you owe Mark an apology, tho I'm sure you didn't mean to besmirch a brother in so public a forum as this? Hi Ian. I just wanted to chime in with a suggestion that would clear up this misunderstanding somewhat. Kathi is quite easy to reach by email or PM on her site. I would give you her email addy but so you can be sure it is correct it would be better for you to get it directly from the site. My name is Richard I am a mod there and I also go by txparamedic there as well. I would be happy to answer any questions about our site or direct you to the appropriate Admin if I don't know the answer. I myself am not an EX-witch just Ex-lost. I suggest we don't let our common enemy cause dissention in the body of Christ or on this forum when most of these questions can be easily answered. As for the points you and Mark disagree on that don't pertain to the exwitch ministry and are basically matters of opinion as to what sources we each chose to believe about the occult in general perhaps simply realising that you are not going to agree and moving on is a better option than arguing.
(Mark I know you are passionate about correcting inaccuracys but is it worth getting personally offended with a brother?)

... and Paul was once Saul, persecuter of those who followed Christ in the first century. Why are we crucifying MY Savior over and over again for sins committed in one's past? Did He NOT die once for all? Are we to continually repent for our past transgressions time and time again or are we to repent for sins committed here and now; in the present?
