he went to meet his friend again
underneath the oak tree
under the moonlit night he found no one there
his friend gone, a mystery
never to come back again,
so he was left to find out why
why did she leave
they were so close, but she left him behind,

he loved her with Christ's warmth
but she didn't know
and so it ends, or did it,
even though she's not there it still exists
the love that she left behind
but he never would say goodbye
he saw her in her troubles
listened carefully
always tried his best to be noble

the selflessness that wanted no return
but to be loved back, for his voice to be heard
for her soul to be nurtured, by a friend who loved her
why did she turn him away, she cared for him once
but it wasn't enough
it hurt him so, that his sacrifice could save her
that she tossed it aside, but why
he knew the answer but was afraid to say
