Anybody seen this movie?
It's got a great message to it.
There were a couple of times in the theater where I was like "wow that's a great point"
Sure there is a bit of language, but nothing that doesn't appear on regular tv (sad to say it's even on tv) but over all it was a good heart felt movie.

You know I like his old dorky stuff, and there for the past few years he did some rather odd films, and one distasteful one, but this movie goes back to the goofy side of him. He's pretty animated in it. Your husband will probably like it if he liked the first films Jim Carrey did.

I think "animated" is a more appropriate term than "goofy" for his performance in Bruce Almighty. His behavior was far from stupid like a lot of his stuff is (though still funny).

Bruce Almighty has an absolutely tremendous message in it, and not a watered-down, I-really-had-to-reach-to-find-one kind of message, either. A really great film.

I highly recommend this film. It goes in my top ten. Wow, two movies that went in my top ten this summer! X2 and now Bruce Almighty - really great movies on different ends of the spectrum.

I loved it. I can overlook the bad language in the movie to get to the message. I'm not overly crazy about Jim Carrey, but in this movie, he was great.
:B-fly:

This movie was pretty good. It had the most powerful prayer scene I've ever seen in a movie.

It's GREAT!

I'm from Buffalo, NY so that helped my love for this movie right off the bat! They used the actual local TV station logo and some of the newscasters for background shots when TV's are running (at his house for instance)

The email/prayer connection is really eye-opening I think. People can understand why God can't answer YES to every email, it would certainly screw things up for everyone! Jim Carrey proves he can pull off a deeper role with humor still. I really loved that.

Good movie 2 thumbs up!

i refused to see it for the longest time because i thought it was going to be so sacreligious. but a friend finally convinced me that it had a good message. and i agree. i think its a good example of a movie made for the masses that gets to throw in a bit of jesus when they aren't expecting it, and do so in a way that the masses will pay attention- so i give them props for that!

Too bad some of the scenes were so..non appropriate, you know?
Other than that, I agree. Great movie. They didn't make fun of God or anything.

I saw it and thought it ws the dumbest movie ever. I also found (unlike you guys), that it was very mocking to God.

The film was mocking God and the Bible, its becouse of our unbelief why the world mocks.

Why dosent any of this suprise me its like the film the man who sue`d God.

I like Jim Carey and thought he is usually pretty funny. This movie just had a few chuckles that were mostly in the commercials. It avoids any real theological issues except maybe for "Doubting Thomas with a twist."
