Mark 16:15 – He said to them, “go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

Go into all the world
This does not necessarily mean you need to travel to another country, or even out of your city. But what it is saying is that we should not exclude anyone from hearing the word of Jesus, for any reason.

Preach
In this passage, the word preach does not mean get in front of a large group of people and give a sermon. “Preaching†hear refers to telling the message in any way you can and in a manner you feel is the best for a given situation. We do not believe there is any one method that works for all people, and in every situation. Read some of my easy ideas for witnessing.

Good news
Jesus is alive!, he rose from the dead!, and all believers will meet him in heaven! Good news is a major understatement here.

All Creation
Or, all people. Again, let’s not limit this to certain people. I am as guilty as anyone for this but we are told to tell everyone. Have you ever thought, this person is so rude, mean, disrespectful, … and thought you would not waste your energy on them? Or thought, that person is too far gone to be helped? Or even something as silly as, that person smells and it makes me really uncomfortable? I have. But it says right here in this verse, even they should be told the good news.

That’s what the Bible says. Do you believe?

Well, actually Mark finishes at 16: 8. Anything after that is redaction.

This is rather obvious as most Bibles indicate various ending for Mark forgetting that all 'ending's are redactions.

Anything after Matthew 28: 10 is also a redaction - that is, a somewhat convenient addition.

There is no indication in the words and teachings of Jesus that he indicated that his disciples had to go 'into the world'.

So, No, I don't accept that Jesus taught a world wide evangelism. This only came about later.

Yes, that is what the Bible says, although the NASB changes "the good news" to "the gospel."

I do assume you've torn those pages out of your Bible.

Acts 1:8--"But ye shall recieve power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

No, he is referring to the fact that the original story ends with Mark 16:8 (the visitation to an empty tomb). Verses 9-20 were added at a later date to make the story more complete, and to be in line with the rest of the Gospels (though there are small contradictions).

So you accept the higher critical nonsense purveyed by the 'scholars', none of whom believes Jesus could have spoken the Olivet Prophecy?

What proof can you offer for this statement of yours above?

You know what you can do with their opinions, don't you?

Corey, can I see some proof of this statement in the light of:

Jn 14. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

When He comes again, where will He be?

Hi and Greetings

the preaching is one of the main works which Jesus and His disciples did 2 millennia ago, and it is of a very big importance although the healing of sick people and the cast out of evil spirits from the possessed are more important than the preaching

Blessings
