Yep, a newbie! I’m grateful to have found you all here. Not a native cheesehead, but I have lived in Wisconsin quite awhile now. Frankly, I miss the sunnier days of Colorado! I have a great church after a long time in “the desert,” and I am immensely grateful. I hope to contribute and learn from folks here on the forums. Peace to you and those you love!

Hello to our newest member! Quite the interesting screen name you picked there, it jumped out at me on a different screen.
I bet there's a story behind that?
Thank you! Yes, there’s a story. My weapon and my shield for living a Christian life is worship. I know, it sounds weird, but really, it isn’t heretical. The Levites were first to go out in battle, singing the song of the Lord with their instruments in hand. And intimacy with God ought to be the thing that scares off the evil one. I find he can’t stand to be near me or those around me when I offer praise and loving worship, rejoicing, and gratitude to God. And worship songs are so filled with scripture! They’re a great sword. This is one way Jesus has called me to fight spiritually, my most powerful weapon at his point in my fellowship with Him and his body.

I hope you like the story.

Beautiful! That is your story, and His workmanship. Scripture speaks of weaving; weaving believers together into a fabric. This involves suffering. Getting pricked with needles is no fun! I look forward to this community being close knit anyway. Welcome aboard! You clearly have experience to draw on, and to contribute here ...
