Luk 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

I don't understand this....We know that Jesus drank wine...

Hi there!

Read the entire chapter.... the passage is speaking of John the Baptist, not Jesus Christ.

That's what I get for skipping around when I'm studing a particular subject. and pulling scripture out of context....I was trying to find out how many times the Bible stated that Jesus drank wine and this one came up....I didn't make the connection...

I have read this whole chapter,,,,many times and I feel like an outright goofus  .but I will survive:lol: to be a goofus again another day... :)

Thank you for taking the time to help me. :)

:biggrin This should be a lesson to us all to study the bible better, because
we all make mistakes. Lets not use the Bible to fight with one another, lets
use it to study with one another, and to help each other. Thats the best
witness to the lost next to Jesus Christ. Let them see Jesus in us and our
love for one another,amen.
