Oh, I'm looking forward to it. My power generator has been tested, I have the snow blower all set to go and plenty of firewood. :)

This always seems to happen when my neighbor is visiting his family in Puerto Rico, and I look after his home in case of power outages. A couple of years ago we had a freak October snow storm that shut down power for ten days, he was with his family, I couldn't get his equipment working, and his basement had about three feet of water in it before he came back and we got everything working.
 
Well I got my steel snow shovel, I hate those plastic ones they just don't work, and I have 50 pounds of ice melt. Now because I have a row home, I just have to do my front and around my truck. Last year we got beat up really bad here.
 
Well it looks like we are going to get for sure. Well I am as ready as I'll ever be. Mike you might get hit hard too.

I'm preparing. Stocked up on gas, food, etc. and ran the loads of wash I needed to do. Neighbors still not back from Puerto Rico, and they may not make it back today. Lots of cancelled flights.
 
In Philly they don't even want us on the street after 10PM tonight N.J. and New York are really going to get a tail kicking. I still have to go to the market and pay Comcast today $ 100.000 bucks, good thing they are right around the corner.
 
When I look at the weather maps, it seems like the storm is purposefly avoiding my area...(mohawk valley of upstate NY)
Like God's saying "nahhh, you guys don't need all that drama!" And I'm like "I'd at least like a snow day!"
Oh well, if anyone else is in the path of the storm, I'm praying for you!! Keep safe, keep warm.
 
When a storm comes up off the coast this way it brings the worst kind of weather, a Nor'easter. Storm pattern picks up moisture over the ocean on the front end and dumps over land on the back end.

We avoided a snow out here it is not that bad, just the wind. All the snow Philly was supposed to get went up to Mike according to this mornings news.
 
Yea!!!! Made it through the night without power outage. Only about 18" of snow here in western Connecticut, a lot more in the east and on the shore.

Time for coffee, some wood on the fire, and then, in a couple of hours, get out the snow blower and clean up.
