1968 Project Camaro

Very nice ! I like the ghost flames on the hood . Lot of upgrades and hard work . What color is that paint ? Stock Camaro color ?

Thanks! And yes, it was a lot of hard work with lots of hard work left to do. I still have not got it out this year. I look at it almost daily. She needs an oil change, rear brakes aligned and a bath.

The color came from a 2006 Malibu. It’s simply called laxer blue. I’ve got to say though, depending on the light it can be blue to purple. It’s amazing what five coats of clear does to paint!

The wheels , paint , flames as a package it works very well together ! I guess Chevy rally wheels are my favorite oem wheels . You should have some good stopping power with front and back discs .

Thanks! It stops fairly decent with disc all the way around. Last summer I did a panic stop to avoid a deer and I was very pleased!

Not sure if you noticed, but I’ve got tubular control arms and coil overs on the front. Rear are custom 6 leaf springs from Eaton with a set of slide a links and Biksteins. She’s firm in the rear but boy does she hook nice and straight and cornering is impressive.

I made the mistake of putting a 3.08 gear in. I own the freeway lol! Chased down a c-5 vette last summer and embarrassed him at 140. I could pull a nose ahead of him at will. He wasn’t happy lol.

I hooked up with a McLaren and a Farari too. I was no match for either of them, but I hung at 120 with spurts above 140. I got a cool thumbs up, but we all knew I couldn’t touch either of them.

Thank you! After 20 years I’m finally starting on the interior. I’ve got new seats from a 2014 Camaro I’m going to try and install this weekend. They are a little wider than the original seats and I hope they will fit!

I've had two camaros in my days... always liked the old ones, and the new ones are a throwback to that earlier muscle car style. Big fan.
