Thank you for the Derren Brown reference... I had not heard of Derren Brown before. I watched "Messiah" as well as "The Heist". I also watched some of his other videos. They were very interesting and entertaining. I don't really think it applies very much to what's being discussed here...

When people change their views on a moral issue, they tend to say that they were previously mistaken. This is contrasted to art or taste, where they would be unlikely to say such a thing...
Yeah, my stomach/intestines also have a violent protest whenever I eat Papa John's. It's the only pizza that does that. I think it's just more greasy/fattening.
I very much dislike calling Christ a "personal" Lord and Savior. Maybe that term comes from the fact that it takes a "personal" commitment from us, and God's work in us must be personal, meaning it can't come from our heritage or simply joining a church. That's just my speculation.
