But the strata formed by that experiment are sorted by the physical properties of the particles that they consist of, are they not?
I just want to know which ones in particular supposedly were formed by that event. Don't you agree that it should be child's play to identify those traces of the...
How is this a problem? Peter used the term kosmos appropriately in that verse, while eretz was improperly translated as such in other verses.
That some instances of eretz were improperly translated as kosmos does not mean that every mention of kosmos must mean the same as eretz.
That'd be...
Then please name a stratum that you suggest as one that formed as a deluvian one all around the globe. I'll then try to find evidence that at it formed subaerially, not subaquatically, at least somewhere. That would be evidence that this particular stratum does not belong to a globe spanning...
You will get layers when you do that, but these are sorted by particle size and density. The geologic column is not sorted in any such way. What conclusion would you draw from this?
The first ones i saw were the misdated molluscs...hardly surprising, as marine animals don't obtain their C14 from the atmosphere. Such a result was to be expected if one uses a dating method on something that it is not eligible for.
Doesn't it bother you that whoever assembled that list for...
That'd the point though - the Greek version already is a translation, not the original. The original term, "eretz" in Hebrew, is not correctly translated as kosmos.
By all means, let's see them. And while we're at it, what is your explanation for the correlation of different dating methods as indicated by the above graphs? Which particular strata do you suggest were laid down by the noachian flood?
And let's not forget this one.
Matthew 4:8
"Again, the devil takes him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;"
That too wouldn't work with a spherical earth. The usual apologetics about it is that that mountain and the act of...
"Almost identical" implies at least some change. It's highly unlikely that those from 100 million years ago could have viable offspring with today*s, so they'd be different species.
"Almost identical" can mean as much difference as there is between homo erectus and homo sapiens.
But why is that so? It's because much manufacturing has moved to China and other similar countries. Given that the west mostly has used up its natural resources, its single biggest asset is its scientific edge over the rest of the world (except Japan, which is in a similar situation). That's...
They happen to fit into the framework of the ToE, which in itself is evidence for the ToE (as it made successful predictions). That was not the purpose of the dig though, but a mere secondary effect.
Morality depends directly on intelligence. You won't find much moral behaviour among species...
They may be right, their work just will be put under a very high level of scrutiny.
What taxpayer money?
Paleological digs are performed because we want to know what the past was like, not to confirm the ToE. Huge difference.
We aren't looking for evidence for the ToE, but for paleological...
He absolutely is. One just has to make sure that one's evidence is watertight. It's the same as if a physicist were to doubt that electricity consists of moving electrons. If the evidence is on his side, then he will eventually prevail. If he made sloppy mistakes inn his experiments, then he...
The ToE has gone a long way since Darwin, he wouldn't recognize much of his own work in the modern synthesis of the theory if he saw it.
Yet, the ToE is constantly doubted and put to the test. It just happens to pass these tests with flying colors. The one scientist who eventually may overturn...
