Well here it is guys! Today is March first and that means that I'm starting to get into the Saint Paddy's Day mood. :biggrin Since this thread was so popular last year, I decided to do it again this year in hope's for the same response from it. :) And just like last year, on March seventeenth I will post (I do believe that it is in Cleveland if I remember correctly. :confused) our state's Saint Patrick's Day parade! :thumbsup So although I love leprechauns, and I still hope to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow someday,.. don't forget that Saint Patrick led a lot of the Irish to Christ (and he also chased the snakes out of Ireland so that's also a win in my book :lol) and comes March seventeenth, don't forget to wear green! Happy Saint Patrick's Day everybody and may the luck of the Irish be with you! :biggrin2

Yeah listening to Celtic music, watching movies about leprechauns, and wearing green is pretty much all I do. I can't stand corn beef, but do you have a McDonald's where you live because I do just happen to love the shamrock shake. :biggrin2

All I know is that they are delicious! I do believe that it's a mixture of mint and chocolate so it's like drinking a Andes mint with whipped cream to go along with it. :)
 
Actually my bad it's actually vanilla and peppermint. It's been so long since I had one,.. anyways it's still scrumptious! :thumbsup
 
Anyways, here's a couple more songs for me that have always been a Saint Paddy's Day tradition for me and a lot of people on here already know by now that I love unicorns and that they are my favorite mythical creature with dragons coming in second place. :) (Btw, I also do virtual Halloween and Christmas parties along with an Independence Day one but of course only Americans celebrate that.)







 
I am part Irish so I'm in! I love those Celtic Girls music, they really nail the Amazing Grace song.

..and Unicorns are not mythical. They are in your Bible so they are real. I have never seen one, but if they're in scripture then they are real.
Dragons too but we all know that.

Actually you're half right. Unicorns were mentioned in the Bible but they were some sort of rhino or something not a magical horse, and dragons I vaguely remember them being mentioned but they were probably referring to dinosaurs. Also I love them too but they're Celtic Woman not Celtic Girls, unless you just called them that because that's what they were. :) Anyways, I got a little bit of Irish in me myself as well. I'm playing a game right now but I will go ahead and post some more music later.
 
So if you (anyone) is part Irish, say so in this thread. I am. I am part Irish and part West Virginia Hillbilly, with a small dash of Cherokee Indian I hear...

I call them the Celtic Girls because they're younger than me. Much younger, lol!

I forget the scripture about Unicorns but they are not rhino's. It didn't say that they were magical or anything, it basically just mentions them. I should re read it and see...

The dragon is very real and is refereed to very much in scripture. It basically refers to Satan as being a dragon.

Well I just thought that it was assumed that they were some sort of rhino. Anyways, I'm pretty sure that Satan being referenced to as a dragon is not a dragon like Puff is/was. Anyways, here some other Celtic favorites of mine.

You're welcome, but I personally think that Celtic Woman has a better ring to it. :) That last song was from the 1993 version of The Secret Garden, and this next song is from The Magical Legend of The Leprechauns. :biggrin2



 
In the spirit of the thread, I'll expound on what I know about my Irish heritage. Not much really. But before the internet got big my dad had did some research and family tree type of stuff. He found out quite a bit but didn't go as far as he could have with it because he said they wanted too much money, lol. But what he did find out, is that our ancestors immigrated to the United States back in the 1800's sometime and many went to Indiana. The formed a town for their people and called it Ireland Indiana. My dad made one trip there and explored a few cemeteries and our last name is all over their cemeteries there...and that's all I know, lol. Some of them went further east at some point and met some Hillbilly girls down by West Virginia and the rest is history, lol.

I don't seem to have the Irish propensity to drink or fight though, never have. I drank like a fish as a teenager but set it down before I even came of age!

I thought of that as I posted. Of course the young women like Celtic Women because young girls want to be grown up and recognized as women, and you're prolly about their age too, lol.

I've been going down your ;list of videos and I'm watching them all...

Well I hardly ever drink, and when I do it's either wine or margiretas as I can't stand beer! I'll take a shamrock shake over a bit of the bubbly any day. :biggrin
