Or . . .
God The Father's Great Love And Humility As Demonstrated By The Cross
And The Incarnation.
The Cross
{Jesus endured the shame of the Cross Hebrews 12:2}
You must true-love deeply to allow evil men to hammer nails through your
Son's hands and feet when you are Almighty God and could easily stop
them but you didn't because you're not a self-seeker, rather you were
willing to suffer excruciating agony to kelp others ~ physical and
emotional agony.
And it wasn't only nails driven through hands and feet. It was also severe
flogging, insults, and humiliation. They treated the Lord Jesus badly. They
mocked Him, beat Him with their fists, spit in His face, ridiculed Him with
sneers and jeers, and jammed a circle of thorns into the flesh of His
forehead.
And that wasn't all. They nailed Him to a piece of wood. And they left Him
hanging on it for 6 hours. Then He died. He bravely endured Death and died.
Would you do all that to save another human being?
The Father, who suffered severe agony of soul, said in John's gospel that
He suffered all this so you would not have to endure the "perish" of
John 3:16 if you will believe in Jesus. If I were you, I would take all
this deadly serious. What happened on that Cross 2000 years ago tells
you God takes all this deadly serious. You can take it deadly serious by
praying this simple prayer from the heart:
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness.
I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn away from my
sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust You as my
Lord and Savior. In Your name. Amen."
The Incarnation.
{"The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us." John 1:14}
Do you ;love deeply with all your heart? Would you join permanently
with a donkey? Would you do that? Would you become a donkey in
order to eventually lift donkeys to a higher level so they could gradually
become like you? Isn't that, in principle, what God the Father did in the
Incarnation? Almighty God took human form by becoming Jesus.
Incarnation literally means "to take on flesh." Jesus was fully God and
fully human. It required levels of Love and Humility off-the-charts, for
God the Father to be willing to do this for we the human race. Humility
is humbleness of heart and being willing to lower yourself in order to lift
up others. God the Father, in some sense, lowered Himself by becoming
a human. After all, we humans are the species that created and maintained
Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Treblinka, and Dachau.
