Well, the context has nothing to do with the Sabbath. The specific reason Paul wrote the chapter is summed up in verse 20: "Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food". The subject of the chapter from start to finish has to do with eating and not eating. Nothing is said about the Sabbath.

Gordon's post and your link seem to be referring to calendar days when talking about the significance of the number 3. I think that a number of folks believe that any part of a calendar day could be counted as a day. Is that your position?
