    Hindu and Buddhism

jasoncran-Is that not karma? I wasn't talking about karma in the sense that if you do good, you will be reincarnated into a higher being. I meant if you do good in this life, good will happen to you in this life, and vice versa. To me, that is karma...

    Hindu and Buddhism

I'm including both of them here because I discovered Buddha is one of the many Hindu deities. Both religions seem to promote peace and love between you and your fellow man. Both believe in karma, as do Christians (you reap what you sow). I just find it all so interesting :study

    2012.

Could we possibly be this close to the end of the world? There are some huge astrological alignments happening in 2012, and I mean HUGE, and the Mayans DID predict the end of the world AS WE KNOW IT. Then again, there's the chance that nothing at all will happen...What do you think? Some...

    Kabbalah...

Well, I've studied it a bit, but in everything I've studied there hasn't been anything about the occult practices associated with it, the texts I've read simply call it "mysticism" without telling one how to engage in the mystical side of it. I'm cool with that. I study lots of things *shrugs*.

    Kabbalah...

I'm still to find information regarding the occult practices of Kabbalists. Seems like one should tread carefully though.

    Paganism...

Interesting is the fact that I was moved by sermons given by *gasp* a female? Thanks :)

    Paganism...

I've been to Church servives with a female pastor and they were some of the most moving I've been to. I guess you did say "most denominations"...

    Kabbalah...

Does anyone know anything about it? I've been trying to study it but it's pretty hard to get my head around it. It's not a religion as such but rather, seems to fit into many religions. Some people brand it "Jewish Mysticism", others say Christianity could not exist without it. A big factor in...

Forgive me, but what do you mean by Universal Reconciliation?

    Paganism...

Yeah to add to demented cookies question-If he WANTS us to be saved, would he not save as at the end no matter what? If God forgives our sins in this life, would he not forgive our sins in the next life too? As long as you dont actively speak out against God or the Holy Spirit, and as long as...

Learn What the Bible Says about the Occult

Fair point Tina, I was merely pointing out that these books exist. People may well have burned different coloured candles to acheive different outcomes throughout the ages, you and I have been alive for an extremely small part of history. Just sayin'.

Learn What the Bible Says about the Occult

I see. I was always under the impression that when God created the heavens and the Earth, he created everything on the Earth as well. I actually turned to God because of a spiritist/diviner who reads Tarot cards I consulted who told me to say the Lords prayer for protection. So without an...

Learn What the Bible Says about the Occult

So we all know the bible says the Occult is wrong. My question is this-Why would God have put the occult on this planet if he frowns upon it? What is so bad about it? What are prophecies if not divination? How did Christ perform miracles without possessing magical abilities? Food for thought...

THIS ANGRY BUDDHIST GETS VIOLENT QUICK!

I honestly don't understand all the hate between religions. That Christian man seemed awfully angry and provoking the Buddhist. Can't we all just get along?

    Paganism...

mjjcb-by the sounds of it you don't think other religions or belief systems have any validity at all. Is this correct? Also, is the "spiritism" you're talking about Santeria? I am probably younger than you and this could be partially responsible for our different points of view, but I don't...

    I am a JW, why should I consider becoming a C

God blessed me with an open mind and freedom of thought. Whilst I might not be as traditional as you and others in regards to certain matters I am a worker of light. It is up to each individual to have an individual relationship with God.

    I am a JW, why should I consider becoming a C

I say live and let live. If you start pushing your own personal beliefs on other people youll push them away. If someone was destined to follow Christ he will come to them.
