Strong's is out dated and wrong because of the reasons I described in the earlier post.

why such hatred towards the poor?

In Luke's gospel, Jesus is portrayed as being born poor. This is something that some Christians don't like and try to change. Luke 2:23-24 shows Mary giving the sacrifice for purification. Leviticus 12 is where we find the description for this sacrifice. It is only the poor that are to give the...

    Peace on Earth?

As I was reading and thinking about the Christmas stories, I thought about the phrase, ‘peace on earth’. It makes me think of an old U2 song by that name. The song is a reflection on a bombing in Northern Ireland and how that relates to the idea of ‘Peace on earth’. The song asks, ‘So what’s it...

    Nephilim

the word nephilim comes from the word, 'fall'. Literally, nephilim, are 'fallen ones'. What does that mean? There are a number of different interpretations. The expression, 'son of' in the bible can be literal or it can be used metaphorically. Metaphorically it means, that you take on the...

    Jesus saves ...

The other day in church I was listening to yet another altar call. The preacher was telling us that Jesus saves. If we have problems with loneliness then we should come to the front because Jesus saves us from our loneliness. If we have problems with anger that is destroying our families then...

KJV and the Personal Name of God

The Personal name of God is not Jehovah and that isn't a perversion, it is a mistake. For many hundreds of years the Hebrew version of the Bible wasn't used by the Church. The Greek / Orthodox church used the Greek version and the Roman Catholic church used the Latin version. About the time of...

Reasons for Accepting the KJV as God's Preserved Word

What is God's preserved word - certainly not an english VERSION! It is the original languages. Hebrew, Aramiac, Greek. If you follow your arguments, then God has LOTS of preserved words - in each different language.

    how to/do you read?(the bible)

The Hebrew Bible (OT) has a different order of books to the English Bible. So I don't think the order of books is a big issue. I do think it is helpful to read books, as books, not piecemeal. I also think it is helpful to first be familiar with the gospels, acts then the letters.

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Isa 53:6 (ESV) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned--every one--to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. So we 'all have gone astray' and the Lord has laid on him the 'inquity of us all'. All who went away are the same as those for whom Jesus died!

bought out of Egypt? I think they were brought out of Egypt. where does SCRIPTURE ever say they were bought out of Egypt. How about this Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned--every one--to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. So as many as...

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

2 Peter 2:1 (ESV) But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. So if they deny the Master (Jesus) which...

The Omniscience Of God Does God Know Everything ?

Have you ever done any serious biblical studies (like Masters / Doctrinal ) research? I don't think you would say this if you really have studied some of the great Christian minds. They disagree on lots of things and have the humility to admit it. It is not for a lack of bible study, or...
