    What's What With Baptism?

When baptized as a baby was it immersion, sprinkling or pouring? To take "Jesus by faith" is to do what He says, in the way He says do it and for the reason He says to do it, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" Jn.14:15. He said "--he that believes and is baptized shall be saved--"...

    What's What With Baptism?

Surely you don't want to contradict your Savior and His inspired apostles: Mk.16:15,16, Matt.28:19,20, Rom.6:1-5, Gal.2:26,27, I Pet.3:21, Acts 2:38, Col.2:12, Acts 22:16 etc. God bless

    What's What With Baptism?

Hi Urk Holy Spirit baptism was a promise and Christ the administrator. Water baptism is a command and men the administrators, and is to last to the end of the world, Matt.28:19,20. There is a vast difference.

    What's What With Baptism?

Hi Sparrowhawke If my "caps" offend you I apologize. I capitalized the scripture quotes to indicate it was God's word. I capitalized a small quote from you to allow other posters to better understand where I was making my point from. I didn't intend it to be shouting and in the future when...

    What's What With Baptism?

Eph.4:5: ''ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM." While true we are "baptized into Christ", Gal.3:27, Eph.4:5 says nothing at all about what you have said. Even if it did it still said "one baptism" which means one, 1, uno, not 3. If you don't think ''SCRIPTURE HAS EXPIRATION DATES" then I...

    What's What With Baptism?

Ephesians 4:5= 1 baptism. What is it about that that we don't understand? One, uno, 1! One plus 0 = ONE. No debate intended. By the time Paul wrote Ephesians (about 65 AD) there was only one baptism. Either that or Paul led by the Holy Spirit was misguided. God bless

    The Mormon Belief of Deification

Hi James--I'm responding in part to your post #147 regarding testimonies. I have studies with numerous Mormon elders. Without exception they all gave their testimonies before leaving. In fact, the last time one began to show signs of cracking and the stronger immediately gave his testimony...

    The Mormon Belief of Deification

Hi Pat I'm responding in part to your post # 122 which was directed to Jamesone5. Regarding the subject of secular sources versus the word of God as a source you stated that James wouldn't comment on it further. JamesOne5 of course may do as he sees fit, but I shall comment. While secular...

Pat what you have posted sounds very much like an admission that those men (Smith, etc.) actually committed those atrocities.

    The Mormon Belief of Deification

In Matt.5:22 Jesus said calling one a "fool" put the caller in "danger of hell fire." He made no exceptions or qualifications. You gentlemen need to calm down.

Not all born-again Christians make it through the sanctification process!

The phrase "born again Chrisians" is redundant.

The Last Church That You Would Agree With Until Restoration

Yes the Catholic church claims Peter to be the first pope, and popes are not to be married, yet poor old Peter not only had a wife but he had a mother-in-law as well. This should eliminate something from being a mark of identity of the church in the Bible.

The Last Church That You Would Agree With Until Restoration

Jesus said He would build His church, Matt.16:18. Would it be fair to say therefore that His church can be identified in the NT?
