    Common Figure of Speech/Colloquial Language?

Agreed. But that's an issue for a different topic.

That would be an issue for a different topic.

    Common Figure of Speech/Colloquial Language?

The OP is not asking for a defense of a 6th day of the week crucifixion/1st day of the week resurrection. Again, the only concern of the topic is to find examples which show that it was common to say that a daytime or a night time would be involved with an event when no part of a daytime or no...

    Common Figure of Speech/Colloquial Language?

Are you a believer in a 6th day of the week crucifixion/1st day of the week resurrection?

    Esther 4:16 versus 5:1

Can you lock this one then, since I don't think I can do that with this particular topic?

    Esther 4:16 versus 5:1

There's really a fine line between questioning an answer, and debating an answer, isn't there.

    Esther 4:16 versus 5:1

No probably about it. Unfortunately, I let tididyas and JLB draw me off topic. Sorry.

    Esther 4:16 versus 5:1

Actually, He said it would be - "three days and three nights". And your 2 nights is based on the idea of a 6th day of the week burial. Many papers have been written for a 4th day or 5th day crucifixion.

    Esther 4:16 versus 5:1

Well, in light of Matthew 12:40, Mark 8:31, and Luke 24:21, "on the third day" must be referring to the third day after the burial.

    Esther 4:16 versus 5:1

Esther said that she would fast for 3 days, night or day, and that after doing that, that she would go to the king. However, verse 5:1 says that she went to the king on the 3rd day. How can she go to the king on the 3rd day and at the same time go after the 3rd day?

    Common Figure of Speech/Colloquial Language?

The Messiah said that He would be three days and three nights in the "heart of the earth". There are some who think that the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week with the resurrection taking place on the 1st day of the week. And of those, there are some who think that the "heart...

    Common Usage?

I have no belief, i.e. a conviction, one way or the other about that. BTW, you have a question directed to you in post #280.

    Common Usage?

No, unless you're referring to my defense of what I erroneously thought follower was saying about me. Agreed. But for right now, I'm only concerned with the issue of this topic. I thought my response in post #273 implied a "no". What is your point?

OK, sorry. I thought you were accusing me of putting forth a false gospel.

So, again, what false gospel is there in the information of my posts?

    Common Usage?

I don't think He is a believer in a 6th day of the week crucifixion.

Maybe someone new looking in may know of examples.
