    Why did Jesus say "I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God."?

    And why did he drink the sour wine vinegar before his death on the cross? This part of the gospels has been confusing me lately and I have been struggling to understand what he meant Matthew 26:29- 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day...
