The Church is mentioned 17 times up to chp. 3 and not mentioned again until chp. 19 (I believe). Anyone know why the Church isn't mentioned?

I personally believe the whole book is written to/about the Church. That is the reason for the statement Jesus makes at the end of the book.

Vic, did you answer this one in another thread?

They are in ch 11 about two of the churches.

Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth .

Rev 1:20 candlesticks are churches.

Is the Body of Christ ever described as 'candlesticks?' What does the 'seven golden candlesticks' of Rev. 1:11-20 speak of? If you dig a little, you'll find that candlestick is always in ref to Israel.
