Covid 19 is changing life as we know it.
I am predicting a world recession to last up to 5 years. International flights will barely resume in 2021.
We are in the midst of World War 3. And the enemy is winning. Australia thought it was going to escape unaffected. Wrong. One of our states is copping an awful hammering.
Maybe there will be some positive consequences. But I see a lot of economic pain. . Our quality of life will decrease .
We might be still fighting this virus in 2022.

Things do look rather bleak right now. I hear you out. While a lot of things have changed, there's no doubt it has set the economy back a lot. I guess there's no way to know for sure when this will end until we see it. I have hope that at the beginning of 2021 at most that this thing will be mostly behind us. I suppose I have to trust in God that there's still hope because we still have food, clean water, and a roof over our heads.

Praying things will go back to "normal" soon.

Victoria has an 8pm to 5am curfew now. Doesn't affect me but young people would be livid I imagine.

How does this curfew help stem the tide of Covid-19?

well presumably keep young people away from social gatherings. encourages to stay home

They had an 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. curfew here for a time, but it wasn't due to COVID, exactly - it was encouraging protestors to stay home as it was the late night/early morning protests that were the ones getting out of hand.

Apparently staying home saves lives.
Not necessarily. Staying cooped up in a confined space is not the best way to fend off a virus unless the entire household has become infected, assuming you become immune once infected. If you can get it again, then you could be trapping yourself indoors with the virus. This is evidenced in how the flu season tends to run through the winter months in the northern states. The reason the season ends in the spring is because we begin to open windows, get outdoors, and into fresh air. This can also be part of the reason for the Covid virus to have re-surged in the southern states this summer. After the AC was turned on people closed up their homes, offices, and other buildings to the outside, trapping themselves indoors with the virus.

No doubt, but as all years it will soon be forgotten, look at peoples thoughts a couple of months ago and now. People just dont care about the pandemic anymore. Some people never did.

This one will not be forgotten.

I got a reminder emergency alert from the government early this morning when I was sleeping. It's so loud. It was not even 7am, it disturbed my peace,, and it didn't stop, I had to get out of bed.
