Suppose for a moment that the technology existed to create a perfect digital copy of yourself, soul and all. You would live on eternally in a digital space for certain. Would you trade the uncertainty of a celestial heaven for a certain digital future?

Why would any believer in 5he goodness of God and the sinfulness of man willingly 3xchange an eternity with a good God for a lengthy time under the total control of sinful men?

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

No
Sounds terrible
I agree. But I think corporations would try to monetize such a thing and sell it to the public as a means of immortality. Think about it. You'd exist on a chip that your family can access and talk to you at any time. Sure, you don't have a body anymore, but you still technically exist. The concept of never losing loved ones anymore would be the greatest product imaginable. It practically would sell itself.

Nope.
There is no love in the digital world.
