This is a copy of an email that I've just posted to my RL son.
Thanks for calling me. I know we strained our relationship that time.
The difference between 'Finding Fault' and Seeking FORGIVENESS (in trust and truth) is huge. Michael, thank you. I love you, have since the moment you were born, unceasingly. Without fail. Real.
My stupidity aside (yours too) I very much need you in my life.
How come I couldn't plead with you from the heart and with tears? Why do I pretend that I could be me without you?
TIME (JUST A SECOND) TO PREACH:
Men can't tell each other the depth of love they have. It's not allowed.
Even fathers and sons - how strange and evil is that???
It is the cry of my heart that the 'Hearts of the Fathers' be turned to the children, and the hearts of the children be turned to their dads. There is a wide, gaping gash torn into the world - and the Lord speaks of the time of the 2nd coming in this way:
My eye goes quickly to the verse that speaks of "The Sun of Righteousness" arising with "Healing in his wings". We know that Jesus can be called the "SON" of Righteousness - but here we see an analogy of the 'SUN" also - like the sun itself, rising on a new day. :toofunny Who would dare accuse the Holy Spirit of using mixed metaphors? LOL - but we see Jesus both as the "Sun" and see Him with "healing in His 'wings'.
Then, before we can catch our breath from the impact of the truth of that, we (you and me) enter the picture. We are gonna "go forth" - and that means under the power and unction of the HOLY Spirit. But wait... We are then compared to "calves of the stall" and the Word of Truth has declared that we will grow up in the same manner as the calves.
The word, "Calf" is a term used from birth to weaning, when it becomes known as a weaner or weaner calf, though in some areas the term "calf" may be used until the animal is a yearling." (quoting Wiki) That's a very quick growth - from a baby calf to a full grown cow (bull?) and that stupendous growth is all ours. The thing I like to think about is that we (the church and all those who love our Father in heaven) are not expected to be fully mature at that time. We're babies. We will grow up like calves of the stall. We shall (then) tread down the wicked. Who will do that? "I shall do [THIS], saith the LORD of HOSTS."
Then next thing we see is one of the events that happen BEFORE. "Behold, I will send you Elijah, the Prophet before..." The Jews even this day set out a glass of wine for Elijah to come to their table when they celebrate Pesach (Passover). Judaism 101: Pesach: Passover. Elijah is coming (the friend of the bridegroom) and the verse you've heard me quote so often - about the turning of the hearts - is the cry of his heart, as given by the Holy Spirit. I want to align my heart fully to this. I need you, son. More than I can say.
Don't you love it when He says, "BEHOLD..." <<------ it means we're gonna see something!

DISCLAIMER: I don't pretend to be able to teach or preach eschatology from a single verse. This is merely what it proposes to be, a copy of an email that I wrote today, to my real life son. Nothing more.

Malachi Chapter 4 (KJV) - For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do [this], saith the LORD of hosts.
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, [with] the statutes and judgments.
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
