I'm glad Hollywood is finally admitting there's a market for religious films. Given enough time, and bringing enough truly religious actors into the mix, they may even get it right someday.
I have to admit, I don't worry a lot that Noah isn't strictly biblical, just as I didn't worry that The Da Vinci Code wasn't biblical, they're both just entertainment, just fantasy.
Hollywood finally recognized there is big money to be had by filming & distributing 'religious' films. At a time when all too many movies fail to make the grade at the box office, Hollywood was getting desperate to find a means to rake in money.

So true, jasonc . For Hollywood, it's all about the money.
What would be lovely, however, would be for Hollywood to understand that more money would fill their coffers if scripts were created that were in step with Scripture. Perhaps someday, they will learn that lesson.

I'm not concerned that Hollywod's Noah isn't stcrictly Biblical either. I do worry though that it puts the flood narrative in the same category as LOTR and HP etc. ie. fantasy. I suppose unbelievers think that anyway.
Hopefully, "Noah" will bring a few unbelievers to ask questions of Christians about the content of the movie. When "The Da Vinci Code" came out, first in book form & then movie, there were many conversations unbelievers had about the content. Their hunger for more information about our Lord was excellent because of fictional prose & film.

Isaiah 65
1 “I was sought by those who did not ask for Me;
I was found by those who did not seek Me.
I said, ‘Here I am, here I am,’
To a nation that was not called by My name.
Hollywood does not stick to the Bible when it makes a movie out of it. And that bothers me, and if you don't know the Bible like many don't you will be fooled by Hollywood's propensity to add things in Biblical movies that are not in the Bible in the name of box office sales.
