I believe the copyright law is talking about the written material on a web site, not God or Jesus.

In other words, if the material written is intended to edify and glorify God, why would you copyright it? If God gives us bread, should we not break it freely?

We, as in CFnet, do not copyright... Many members post quotes here from books and sites that are copyrighted. Many Christian writers copyright their materials. Respecting their rights to do is necessary in todays world...
Here is an example...
Logos is a big name in Christian materials in talking with them about copyright stuff...
Having talked with a Logos representative ... According to him... Strong's is not copyrighted.. although enhancements to Strongs is under copyright... Therefor Logos version of Strongs' is copyrighted....

As of January 1, 1978, under U.S. copyright law, a work is automatically protected by copyright when it is created. Specifically, “A work is created when it is “fixed” in a copy or phonorecord for the first time.”

in japan there is no restrictions on this stuff. we have copyright laws for americans only. in japan any work isn't protected.

In todays art, you can only be successful if you do something abominable or by blaspheming God. Lady Gaga makes it big by being puked on. She also openly swore to Lucifer. You need to be a pawn of the eye-pyramid scheme. I really don't recommend that though.

You combined both of my points and turned them into twisted strawmen.

-Copyright: did the writers of God's messages invent the messages to sell to the public, or did they receive them to give to ears that would hear. Read mark 9:38. It seems the disciples had a copyright complaint.

-Money is fake: It very well is. That doesn't make stealing right. Money will fade away but God's word endures forever. Only man has put value on material. And that has become a conduit of mental enslavement. I don't care how rich you are. You're a slave to money. Money merely acts as a mediator, and a tool for trade. It's this unnecessary middleman. People die because of money. If it weren't for money, people could afford to stay alive.

They are still pretty anti-pirating. (Even if much of the interest in their animation products is largely because of pirating. Not saying pirating is a good thing, I think it's both been good and bad for their animation industry. Most Western fans are not paying for the anime they are watching--on the other hand, without it being available online for free we would not know about most of it.)
