Hebrews 5:14
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Just to think of our senses being active on one level may be a little shallow. Jesus felt the power go out when the woman with the issue of blood touched him.
Acts 20:9
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
10 But Paul went down and fell upon him, and after embracing him, he said, "Do not be troubled, for his life is in him."
I used to be able to hear the high frequency circuit in tube TVs, and the high frequency motion detectors used by some stores for burglar alarms. Synthetic tea tastes like soap to me.
While my examples are more NATURAL only a very few to 1 out of 30 can sense these things. I even wonder if water dousing may be part of the way God made us (I totally know satan has been given credit for some things, and we can miss use of the way we were created).
Our Christian goals should be toward using spiritual gifts along with trained senses. We need to be able to sense the source of our new trained senses. Just because something seems spiritual, it does not have to be Holy.
Fear will keep us away from growth. Faith in Christ will lead us in an area some feel is dangerous. Using untrained senses is dangerous. Using senses apart from scriptures is dangerous too.
