On top of my dad's illness and death this summer and fall, we also had one stillborn calf, one calf that my daughter was raising who suddenly died without any apparent cause, our fish died and my beloved cat, Miranda died. I was really hoping we had finished with loss and death, but when we got home today we noticed that a hole was in our dog's kennel and two of the three dogs were missing. That was 8 hours ago and there is still no sign of them. Added to the worry is the fact that it's hunting season and there are a lot of strangers with guns roaming around, and the first snow storm of the season is bearing down on us. We've looked and looked and have alerted our neighbors to be on the lookout for them, but so far no news. I think I could handle yet more loss, but just having them disappear without any knowledge of what may or may not have happend is getting to me.

I again ask that God will look over our family and if it's His will, bring our dogs safely home.

Yes, Dora. I will pray for you, and your family, as all of you face these many afflictions, and also for the safe return of your dogs. Trust in the Lord.

I'll keep your family and your dogs in my prayers for their safe return home. I used to live on a farm in Iowa & we had 2 dogs, who would roam the country side and be gone for days at a time... they always returned home. I hope yours will to.

This is the Day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice & be glad in it

:D Thanks for the prayers. The dogs have been returned. A 'neighbor' who lives over 5 miles away found them this morning. They are very tired but very glad to be home. I truly praise and thank God for His care for them. There are just so many predators, and folks who will shoot dogs around here. I'm glad they're safely home.
