Anglican bishops cite 'new spirit' in Iran

TEHRAN, Aug. 8 Anglican bishops praised a "new spirit" in the church in Iran in a communique issued after a meeting in Tehran August 5 to mark the installation of Iran's new bishop, Azad Marshall.

"We are very encouraged by the new spirit that we have observed in the church in Iran and also the openness and support of the Government of Iran to our church and also the keenness and desire of the Muslim religious leaders to start a dialogue with us in the province," the communique said...
